The Ewart Library will be undergoing refurbishment in 2025.
“The Ewart is closed to the public from the 6th January for the works and we expect the site to be closed for 4 months. We will keep you informed of progress and reopening dates. To ensure continued access to our services, in addition to NWCC regular hours, we have extended the opening hours at both Georgetown and Lochthorn Customer Service Centres. I am delighted that the work of our team of Heritage volunteers will continue throughout the closed period. We now have dedicated Heritage Service offices, storage, workspaces and a tearoom in Municipal Chambers. Heritage Services for customers will be available by appointment at Georgetown Customer Service Centres and Municipal Chambers. All heritage enquiries should be sent to heritage@dumgal.gov.uk.”
